School Safety SITE|SAFETYNETâ„ By Robert Jordan | Founder, SITE|SAFETYNETâ„

🚨 What the Aspira High School Incident Reveals About School Safety. On April 10, a staff member at Aspira High School near Newark, DE, accidentally shot himself on campus. Thankfully, no students were harmed, and a quick emergency response helped contain the situation. Students were transported by bus to a secondary location for reunification with families.

This incident underscores a critical truth:

School safety isn’t about reaction. It’s about readiness.

In those first few minutes, everything matters:
âś… Staff trauma response (a tourniquet was used)
âś… Real-time communication with families
âś… Emergency transportation & reunification
âś… Police coordination
âś… Calm, coordinated leadership

As a nation, we cannot afford to continue relying on luck. We need tools that empower schools with real-time safety scoring, transparent protocols, and dynamic data to prepare for the unexpected—before it happens.

That’s what we’re building at SITE|SAFETYNET℠.

If you believe schools deserve better tools to protect students and staff, I invite you to connect. Let’s build safer schools together. 🙏
